Getting up so early was really, really tough. However, this view every morning made it almost worthwhile:

Finally Official!
I'm beginning to really get the hang of this 'blog slacker' position. :P Actually, I do have a really good excuse this time. Not only have we had visitors, but I took a very important class a couple of weeks ago. On January 9, I 'graduated' from my class and became a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician! That means I have been taught how to educate parents and caregivers on how to keep their children(and everyone else!) safe in the car. Mainly, that involves teaching them how to correctly install and use child restraints. It's something I've been interested in since I was pregnant with Charlie, but I just now found the time(and location!) for the class. Every morning I got up at 5:30 and was out the door by 6:30 at the very latest. My class was located up in Jesup, GA, about and hour and fifteen minutes away. That drive was tough so early in the morning, and my heart ached just a little from not seeing Charlie before I left. I didn't dare enter his room at that hour! Grandpa B. and the Husband took over childcare duties for the week. Anyway, my class started at 8:00 am and lasted until 5:00 pm, so I really got a taste of the 'working mother' world. I hate it. I never want to go back to it. I missed my little boy too much! By the time I got home, it was time to put him to bed. :( Friday was the last day of my class, and I had to participate in a community carseat check as my final 'test.' We checked 25 seats with 100% misuse. That number, to me, is astounding...and scary! So now, I am 'official,' and will continue to use my training as a sort of community service. Most CPST's are firemen/policemen/healthcare workers, etc. But me? I'm just Coty. I'm not getting paid to do it. I just want to share my knowledge and keep other kids as safe as mine is!
