It's so hard to believe. I feel like it was just minutes ago that he was lying on my chest, screaming his head off, blue and bloody. I feel like I just took my first look at him, just started counting his fingers and toes. Now look at us, counting the years... Less a baby and more a kid. Growing and surprising me everyday. I'm so proud of him I could just burst!
The husband and I decided that instead of giving him lots of gifts, we'd like to give him a day. After looking around earlier this year, I found A Day Out With Thomas at Edaville USA. If you know my kid at all, then you know his love of Thomas! I just knew it'd be perfect, and it was! Although his Daddy was not able to attend, he was surrounded by friends and family. Grandma and Grandpa even came up from SC! Boy, did he love that!!
Ready to begin his day at Edaville. Happy Birthday, Charlie!

Playing with one of the many train tables in the party room. There was also a ball pit, a maze, and coloring tables.

Time for pizza!

Blowing out his candles. He tried really hard but needed a little help from Mommy. Notice the hands holding him back from a face-first dive into the fire. ;)

Eating his huge homeade cupcake!

When we first boarded the train, he didn't realize that Thomas was pulling us. He wasn't quite sure why we were just sitting and waiting. But then we started rolling, and that familiar Thomas music came on the speakers...

There's that smile we love!

Charlie and Mommy with Thomas the Train.

Riding the caterpillar with Grandma.

Riding the turtles all by himself like a big boy! I was so surprised he sat as well as he did!

Charlie and Mommy on the flying elephants. Just seconds before this picture he told me, 'Wow. I flying!'

The adults even got in on the fun. ;)

All tuckered out on the way home...

Happy birthday, baby.

2 people who love me.:
We miss you already Charlie...we're so happy we could be with you for your birthday. We love you all!
So, neighbor, I managed to stumble upon your blog! This means you cannot write any crazy neighbor comments. Let me just say that Charlie's toys are much more pleasant to look at than the contents of the previous occupant!
